Any over the counter medication should be checked out by your veterinarian before administering it to your pet, but you should never give your pet the following:
  • Ibuprofen. This includes Motrin, Advil and Noprin.
  • Tylenol. This drug cannot be used in CATS as cats lack the ability to metabolize Tylenol thus leading to liver failure and anemia. Should only be used under the supervision of a veterinarian in DOGS.
  • Aspirin. Can only be used with your veterinarian's advice and with the correct dosing information.
