Any over the counter medication should be checked out by your veterinarian before administering it to your pet, but you should never give your pet the following: Ibuprofen. This includes Motrin, Advil and Noprin. Tylenol. This drug cannot be used in CATS as cats lack the ability to metabolize Tylenol thus leading to liver failure and anemia. Should only be used under the supervision of a veterinarian in DOGS. Aspirin. Can only be used with your veterinarian's advice and with the correct dosing information.
